The design
The bag is the wrapping
A Chimanlals bag is not an afterthought. Printed by hand on handmade paper, in sizes from a slim pouch to an extra-large carrier, it turns carrying a gift into part of the giving.
A closer look
Printed on the outside, built to stand.
The front of the bag is the printed face and gets the full pattern. Look at the open bag in front: the gusset folds out at the sides so it stands on its own, and the cord handles are threaded through by hand. It is a printed sheet of handmade paper that has been folded into an object you can carry.

The design
Indian design, printed on paper
Across Chimanlals, design inspiration comes from Indian traditions including textile weaving and khadi printing. Silk-screen printing carries those references onto handmade paper, including the bags in the wider product range.
